Post by Sugar »

both are not working.

the 1st spun a crankshaft bearing.
and the second 1 a piston grabbed and has stuck.

i am stipping the 1st engine and will consider stripping the other, so if you need any engine parts let me know
just took the cams out also have a fuel rail, 2 intake manifols ect. even 2 mivec covers.

do a search on the forum for it, u should find lots of info and i think a DIY as well for it.
it's apparently a very common FTO problem ;)

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia

I was asking OverBoosting about a Ignition Failure Sensor, but he's taking a fair while to get back to me.

Can you confirm that the IFS was okay in either of the engines, and can I buy it

PS. If you don't know where to find it - it's got a 4 wire plug and is located behind the radiator filler cap (looking from the front of the engine).
