hi, ive got a prob with my fan (i think) everytime i turn my car on theres this loud knocking not from the engine but i think it comes from the heater fan, theres nothing touching it or no leaves caught. the noise is right underneath the glovebox and apparently is coming from a little black box. when i turn on the fan it stops, utherwise it usually takes about 1 min to stop the loud knocking.
if anyone has had the same prob please help me out, i know its not an engine prob so it cant be serious its just annoying to hear a very loud knock everytime i start up my car.
many thanks
fan loud knocking

I had a problem like this in my Toyota Cressida... Located under there was the air con fan and filter... There was some gunk in the filter and I thin that was strinking the fan ... Took the filter out, replaced it with a new one, and sucked all the dust and sh*t out of there ....
Noise stopped ... It was only noisy on the low fan setting, and after a while it would go away ... But it was soooooo annoying ... Not sure if the FTO filter and assembly are in the same spot as I am only new to these cars....
