Clutch Issue

Post by Nightwish »

Hey guys, i got a new clutch and flywheel put in a few days ago, and it was all going very well,.. it felt like new again :D
I had run my last clutch/flyhweel to the ground,....

anyways, so the guy tells me i need to just take it easy for a few hundred kilometres, to let the clutch/flywheel wear in.

So come about 500km into the new clutch, i decided to do some spirited country driving,.. and then thats when the pain started..

I now notice, that when my car is idling, and i push the clutch pedal in and out, that there is a loud 'click' coming from somewhere near that throwout arm area.. Is this a problem? what could it be?
(it doesnt do it unless the car is running in idle, when the car is off, it will not make the click)

also, i noticed that when i go to take off in 1st, or in reverse, when the clutch begins to bite, there is a loud 'bang' which sounds like someone throwing a brick at your engine block, and it feels like it to. This would definately be a problem,.. what is the cause of this 'bang' and the 'click'??

any ideas would be most appreciated!!
thanx in advance

raise the noise, in neutral, car is off
turn the wheels with your hands manually, both ways, fast and slow
is there a noise?

in gear, try to turn the wheel both ways,
is it loose?
is there a noise?

most likely they didnt change the bearing,
check the receipt for parts and ask the shop if they changed it?

Do you have lsd?

I did a manual conversion myself, gave it to it since from the 1st km,
no issues at all,
