blowing smoke

Post by Sugar »

alrighty.

ive just had a new engine put into my car started first go, however its blowing smoke.

at first i thought maybe it was the rings, but its not a bluey smoke, its very black, which makes me think its running very very rich. or getting to much fuel.

the mechanic is stumped, as am i.

so basically, does any body have any idea's why?

Yep, black smoke usually means too much fuel. Dunno, could be a sensor. Checked the ECU codes?

ok my vacuum gauge isnt working so i looked in the engine bay
and the vacuum hose in the back of the engine has been torn off.

could this cause the issue?

please tell me it is lol

also can somebodt please take a pic of there throttlebody looking straight down, so i can see where the vacuum lines go, or have a link telling you where they go.
