Hi all,
These sexy plates were on my new FTO when I bought it...
they're the RED slim-line plates with "FT04ME".
They're pretty cool but I've got a different idea for my plates so I'm selling these.
I'm not looking for that much because otherwise I'd just be handing them into the RTA otherwise. They're for sale on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FT04ME-nsw-red-c ... dZViewItem
SOLD

I think ... And only going off memory...
These plates are in the form of 2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 letters... EG ft04me
Thus meaning that they are not the $420 ones...
Worse case it will be $90 per year, and if they were ordered before the RTA charged you for the content (yearly) it should be free.
But, if it is the above, I thought the only way to transfer plates was if a direct family member (or yourself) owns the new car they are going on....
However, if they are the $420 plates, they can be sold and put on any car ....

Ahem, rock_it I think you might be right.
I thought the registration papers said annual fee of $430 for the plates, but as I went and changed the registration details yesterday I can't check it now.
But like you said, it's a sequence of two letters two numbers two letters which is personalised content, not personalised plus.
Therefore, this is SOLD to rock_it
On another note, the RTA has put their prices up again for number plates; seems they're very keen to lock everyone into annual fees so that they can increase the prices as they like.
