WTB: Stepper Motor ASAP!

Post by cb »

Hey guys I took my car in for a major service and made them check over everything anyway it appears as though I need a new stepper motor as mine is on its way out, I also need it pretty quickly (express post) as it's booked into the mechanic again next week to fit it. Has anyone fitted one of these?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MITSUBISHI-HYUND ... rms=66%3A2

it seems as though they're the same as www.cyberspaceautoparts.com.au
Cheers

Hmm, I did read somewhere, could even have been in an old post on here while I was forum trawling, that the Mitsubishi GTO (3000GT) uses the same stepper motor as the FTO.

The stepper motor advertised in that link claims compatibility with the 3000GT, therefore would be suitable for an FTO as well?

Can anyone confirm this?

Ok I bought an ebay one (the 2 litre one not the one i linked to up top) for $108 delivered (Nardek quoted $220 delivered they seem to be getting dearer!) bringing the grand total of my service to $970! (not including the mechanics labour for later this week prob an hour). Blasphemy, umm, richy & a guy from ftooc all have this stepper motor and all said it works a treat so good bargain if anyone else needs one!

$108? Cheap in comparison to ones from CamSkill etc.
I might pick one up now.

Thanks for the information.
