Hail FTO brethren
Im now but have posted already a few times, figured id do the right thing and post on the newbie thread.

own a red 95 fto gpx, 17" roh rims, Hiro rear wing, sports exhaust, hks air filter, thats what was on it when i bought the car, im going to sprook up the intirior now, purchased a half dozen things from the FTO shop $800 bucks worth lol, getting my missus to paint the intirior, she is an artist, and of some quality if i may say so, then i may either get a custom kit or just put an oh so popular vielside and spend a heap on turboing it. not to sure but thats a fair bit ahead.

would also like to say well done to everyone here its is truley a kick ass site with great members, makes an FTO owner very proud of his ride when becasue of it he instantly has 1000+ new mates who all contribute to that special feeling, and understand that stupid grin we all walk around with lol

I'm thinking seriously about attending< Mikey, but I'm not sure whether I can handle 5 hrs "of are we there yet" emminating from the rugrat in the back seat. I'll discuss it with you at the Blackburn barbie.

Unfortunately we have run out of room for the Mallacoota cruise as all spaces have been taken up. However there will be other planned cruises throughout the year and all are more than welcome to attend. Stay tuned for details!

See you this weekend... ;)

Hey welcome ANBU_fto, does your FTO have a sunroof & red stud for the rims?

howdy!
My names Droo, i've just signed up last night. I dont have an FTO (yet) but am looking slowly. I'm currently the semi happy owner of a '98 Swift GTi, and have owned that for two years. I'm a co-moderator at www.redlinegti.com (australia's formost swift gti webforum) and have done a few things for them including 3 videos and a bit of graphics work.. I'd LOVE to do the same for here one day.

click to see my currrent swift

I've always had a thing for FTO's but havent been able to afford one.. and recently, after driving my partners mitsu TE magna (3ltre V6 manual) i'm starting to feel that my swift aint fast/ comfy enough any more..

I hope no one minds me asking some questions, and i'll do me bestest to use your search button before asking.. (You're forum is more comprehensive than redlinegti's one, so searching is taking a lot longer!)

the video work i've done for redline is here (i enjoy making this stuff and would love to make some for this forum : if these links dont work then click here and search the above names in the page listing
http://www.redlinegti.com/index.php?p=media

not that its FTO related, but i'll definately be as enthusiastic to my own the magic day i finally buy one..

I'm also keen to find out if there are any local FTO owners here in Bendigo (central victoria). I've only ever seen two here, a red GR (i think) and a black GPX..

mmm gpx.. :-)

Hey Jonowong and GpXXX :-)
great to hear a quick response back!! :-)

does anyone trek up to bendigo way at all?? :-)

I'd love to catch up on a cruise of yours - when's the next one coming (er um, have to admit at this point in time i havent been in the cruise thread yet!) but i will!!

While i've sat in a few FTO's at various car yards, i havent heard one start up in the flesh and i havent heard one driving past, AND (unfortuantely) I driven one.. I'd LOVE to be a passenger in one (if someone would take me for a spin!)

my goal is a manual GPX.. (yeah, a silver one) :-) but until last night i didnt know there were two types of silver.. tough choice now!

i'll be asking a few tech questions later tonight.
