haha so i've heard... but whats wrong with the rest of the fibreglass stuff they have?

customer service they have zilch, steven is just, rude, arrogant and knows he's near the only place you can buy the stuff at a decent price so doesnt want to budge on price... no matter how much stuff you buy.

ehhhhh :(

Just what I've heard, the products aren't moulded whilst on the car, so fitment is very poor and as you said, customer service is like telling a cow their milk is sour, they dont give a f**k.

agreed, that being said, anyone have any other great leads to source bodykits from?

although Carmate have them all, and the prices are not bad, i would seriously prefer giving my worst enemy my money then them...

i called enquiring about a part and manager told me he had a more important call and he couldnt speak to me after 10 seconds.... WOW!

I wonder why no one ever saw a window of opportunity in business options...

if Carmate is the only feasible place to buy all sorts of kits and they have done extremelly well over the years, going from a little garage shop to now this uber warehouse...

all there sht comes from 'Hong Kong' - ie RPC - ie China...

maybe this is my calling in the new year..

note to self, 2011, start importing kits and asian bobblehead toys, perhaps some asian scented deoderisers like DRAGONBALL Z style, sell them at 100% margin and i still be undercutting Carmate... then actually have some customer service skills and you cant lose.

whose in!?

What's wrong with Carmate you ask?

Well, there was a post somewhere which showed some of their workmanship, some guy got a Kit put on, it he looked under it and it was all tied together with cable ties and looked like sh*t, another guy ordered a kit, when he installed it, you could literally fit your finger through some of the gaps. They recommend that they install it cos other people can't install properly, that's cos they do a shoddy job and cram it on.

My car got rear ended a while back, the repairer said he'd get me any new bar I wanted instead of repairing my DC bar, I got a bar from Carmate, my smash repairer (very reputable, expensive but good for going to for claims if u want a top job) said there was no way he could've made it fit without it looking like sh*t. Took it back to carmate within 2 hours of picking it up and they wanted a 20% restocking fee and got offended when I said it wouldn't fit. This was obviously my first experience, and after looking around found quite a number of people who had problems with them in the past.

Deal with them at your own risk, obviously they've been around for a while, I don't know how.. but well, yea. Speaking for personal experience and other people who've flushed their money down the drain.
