My tacho is dead. I know there is a sensor on the engine that needs to be replaced. Where is it, where can I get a repkacement, how much is it and can I DIY?

How do you know it's a sensor? Could be just a wire come loose.

Download the electrical manual from the old site, tells you where everything is and the wiring circuits, you can then test the circuit with a test light.

The likely culprit is the Ignition Failure Sensor but there was also a recall on some FTOs because of the bonnet release mechanism damaging the wiring.

How much for new/second hand? Is faulty one detrimental to anything?
