Re: HKS FTO
Thanks Aza but I didn't really have time to shop around. I know where to come next time though.
I found out that the tyre was split at 11.15, buy 1.00 the new tyres were on so got to be happy about that.

Re: HKS FTO
Good to see my price wasn't too far off.
Given the last time I bought tyres I paid $225 per tyre.

Re: HKS FTO
I went to the crap mechanic in my road first and he wanted $200 per tyre. He said that they were Goodyears but he didn't know which ones (they were in his warehouse but he could go and get them) He said that they where "the best" but when I quizzed him about if they were ZR rated or not he didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Then he dropped his price to $180 each. I walked away. Called a mate at Bob Jane in Bankstown and he hooked me up with the goods.

Re: HKS FTO
??? that's the right price.
KU31 arent anything special, but they're decent for the price, which is why they're good.
I could prob have gone $10 cheaper maybe with a contact I know, but miles from where AJ was going at the time.

Yeah, I got mates rates, $129 each. They aren't actually branded Kumho but are made by them and rated for over 240km/h. So far I've not been able to do any wheel spins with them. Not that I've tried too hard but I can notice a difference.

Re: HKS FTO
It was an unexpected cost that I hadn't budgeted for & done any research on either, and I didn't have time to. These will do for now but better tyres will come later on.

Re: HKS FTO
Coilovers and anti lift kit are in!
Here's my shopping list over the last couple of weeks
BC Racing coilovers - $1400
Anti Lift Kit - $140
Wheel Alignment - $80
2 front tyres - $258
SARD regulartor - $210
Walbro 500HP Fuel Pump - $175
Garret GT2560 Turbo - $1430
Labour and random bits and pieces (oil change, filter, dyno tune etc) for fitting turbo and FPR - $ 1385
RDA Turbo Grove Disks - $275
Intima SR6300 pads - $145
Lucas TRW rear pads - $80
1 litre Motul DOT 4 racing brake fluid - $70
Total = $5648
Smile on my face driving home tonight? Priceless!
Now before you start about being able to get prices cheaper blah blah I don't care. I was fed up with looking around for the cheapest price possible all the time I just wanted the car to run, go and stop like it's meant to.
It still needs a new computer but I'm going to have to save up again now before I can get that. After that it'll really be just cosmetic stuff, a head unit and maintenance.
I now have a box full of stuff that I need to sell/give away. I'll post in the 'parts for sale' section for that.

Re: HKS FTO
Awesome stuff mate. It will be like a new car now. Can't wait to drive it and see the difference from when I took it for a spin at the bonfire.
