Of course!PHIL069 wrote: No need, you will do the work (you too bass_twitch), I will guide you and do my own.
I've done rear spark plugs before,PHIL069 wrote: We have to remove engine cover, intake, rocker covers and front right wheel (so we can turn the engine).
Just a quick question do you have a MIVEC engine?
Thanks for the adviceStorm wrote:I wouldn't bother with the faff of taking the front wheel off. A 22mm socket fits nicely into the crankshaft nut and turns it without the extra bother. Plus, I found that if I parked the car up on a couple of blocks of wood it raised it enough to make it a bit more comfortable to work on.

Won't need plugs or leads because they should still be in good knick,PHIL069 wrote:Ok guys if you need to change your front and rear spark plugs this will be the perfect opportunity.![]()
If you want me to buy them (trade price from Bursons, user pays) let me know, I will start a list for these too when we get closer.
Hmm. tools might then become an issue. - I have some that I can bring if need be.PHIL069 wrote:Ok, no worriesAkys wrote:count me in Phil

I only have so much room at my place (there is vacant space over the road we could utilise) so if it gets too big then I might have to think of a better location.

Yep turn wheel to right and you can turn the engine by inserting a 1/2 inch drive into the bolt.PHIL069 wrote:Thanks for the adviceStorm wrote:I wouldn't bother with the faff of taking the front wheel off. ACL sell the seals. Really all ya need is sealant around the old plug seals, works just as well.bass_twitch wrote:Won't need plugs or leads because they should still be in good knick,PHIL069 wrote:Ok guys if you need to change your front and rear spark plugs this will be the perfect opportunity.![]()

Might need the spark plug seals though.. a couple were deteriorating last time I had a look which was a while ago.

Ah if you have hit the waterpump then you will be fine!! How do you tighten the bolt btw?PHIL069 wrote:Thanks I have done water pump on my FTO before.payaya wrote:Impact is a must unless you make a balancer locking tool or unlock with the starter method.
I used the starter method, breaker bar with fuel turned off
My impact wasn't strong enough to crack the bolt on removal so I had to resort to starter.payaya wrote:Ah if you have hit the waterpump then you will be fine!!
