Re: Big brake kit
After spending so much time rolling the front guards & not having needed to, I didn't bother on the rear.....
Guess what? It rubs

Re: Big brake kit
So far, I've noticed a huuuuuuge improvement. Hard to say if its control arms alone, or what, but its very nice to drive
Am heading down for a wheel alignment real early tomorrow, then off to work. That'll be the test.

Re: Big brake kit
Started to push the car a bit today. Been taking it easy to let everything bed in (and hope my rear guard rolling has been enough to stop shredding the tyre lol) and its super nice to drive. I love the feel of new poly bushes Also had it wheel aligned this morning. My camber setting had hardly changed at all, which leads me to believe the '10mm' wider bit about the control arms isn't true. I think they're the same dimensions as our arms.
I've also ordered some slotted rotors for them, one of the rotors on the car has a whoop in it, getting vibration through the pedal. Trade price, house & garden steel slotted was only $110 each

Re: Big brake kit
How would these breaks go with the abs system of the FTO?
May have to do some digging I think .

Re: Big brake kit
might be a bit late but i just did a fto 5 stud swap onto my lancer coupe, used fto rear setup and used fto front hub and knuckle but then used a 8th gen vr4 galant 294mm rotor twin pot setup, need the pre face lift as it uses the same 130mm bolt space as the facelife uses 160mm space same as evo4 up.

Re: Big brake kit
Was the vr4 caliper a straight bolt onto the FTO hub or did you need an adapter?MOR31 wrote: used fto front hub and knuckle but then used a th gen vr4 galant 294mm rotor twin pot setup
And the rotor, any modifications required?
