New Struts which to go for?

Post by illmotion »

Hey guys

my old front strut bar a becoming a pain in the ass cause it doesn't allow the bonnet to close properly. i don't know what the previous owner was thinking when he bought it.

should i go for these
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-F ... 27b9104c10
or these?
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/temp ... /01970177/

and is it worth investing in some rear strut bars?

http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/temp ... 70180cp06/ or http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/temp ... 70179cp06/

or any other better one you guys can recommend?

I think there is confusion.

Do we mean three point as in it links the firewall and 2 strut tops or..

Links two strut tops but a full ring that uses all 3 bolts per strut.

3 point strut has always referred to one that has 3 points of contact as in like you said matt - firewall and strut tops.
Dunno why you guys are thinking cause it has 3 bolts

Wouldn't have a clue what strut brace i have at the moment for the front one came with when i bought it but rear has no strut

The bonnet is having a hard time closing with these strut, it hooks on to close but whenever i pull the lever it open up very loudly as well

That wont be the strut brace mate, looks more like the rubber bump stop adjusters are out of whack.
