The alarm looks like 2-3 days install work.
You have everything for it, even auto windows

Yup, it's going to be a long job...
I'm starting it tomorrow afternoon, the goal is to get the central locking working by the evening, then it's the sensors, THEN the remote start...
But I may have to find someone locally with a Bitwriter though....
So will start calling around the stores tomorrow, to see who has one, and who will either lend it to me, or do the programming for cheap.

What do you need the bitwriter for I didn't need it all to install my viper remote start system most of it you can program yourself it should be in the instructions how to do it
You should bring the instructions with you when you come to visit us at the hotel next week and I can give you some tips on how to do it all
Cheers for that, I wasn't too sure if I would need it at all.
So far I have the central locking working, Siren bolted in, and wired up. Control centre's cables have been run, and the unit is positioned above the rear mirror, just need to stick it to the windscreen.
Tomorrow I will attempt the 24pin harness.
Where did you get your Tacho signal from?
Also, I sadly won't be bringing my FTO to QT next week, but will be going in my mates instead :p

Why aren't you going to bring yours up and you can get the rpm pickup from in the engine bay in the rear left corner under the wiper motor from memory its just after the harness enters the engine bay the is a spare plug there that you can just put a spade terminal into I'll try to remember to take a photo for you

I was hoping to get my restricted license by then to drive it down, but the soonest I can get it is 2 weeks away
Found that plug, thanks
Is there any way I can test if there is signal coming from it?
Today I got that wire sorted, have partly done the boot release, but I have sorted out the interior lights, as well as the door close switch thing

Get a multi meter and set to 20v on the switch, touch black electrode to chassis, touch red electrode to plug pin, rev engine and the volt reading should increase with revs increasing.

Got the remote starter working
Next step is to try and figure out where the front and rear defrost wiring goes to :s
Then if I have time I may install the window controller.

Finished installing the alarm today
I just had to clean up all the cabling, and mount the sensors, all done for the time being, the Proximity sensor will need adjusting and maybe the shock sensor too.
In a couple of weeks I will do the window raiser/lowering unit, but just don't have the time at the moment.
Now to enjoy the remote start in the mornings

Well done! They will look awsome when put together.
BTW, it's a big drive from NZ to ACT for your dad.

Yea, Can't wait to have it all together
He works in NSW, and it was only an hour and a half from work
He is flying back in about two weeks, and I get the bumper then
I should have the strut brace on Tuesday, and I'm not too sure about everything else, but they have all been shipped

Will it be carry on luggage?
