Cruise Control for FTO!
Hey guys,
Pulled the cruise control unit out of the wreck and its still all there in good condition etc.
Just about to leave for work and the phone is dead, i will get up pics tonight just thought id put it up now to get some more time in.
This will be another FTOAU auction for it - to avoid the somewhat pointless lowballers throwing in their 'funny' 69c n whatnot bidding will start at $50
This is off Stef's and HiRAEdd's old car if your familiar with it, works by clipping onto the accelerator cable and going from there.
Auction will end next friday 21/09/12.
Happy bidding

And don't forget every one if you put up a bid that is what you pay if you win.
Not win it and then say well I was only pushing up the price I did not really want it.
So if you can't pay for it don't bid on it!

Re: Cruise Control for FTO!
Sorry for the late photos, been quite busy last few days - also i apologize for the quality, phone battery is so low it wont flash but you get the idea.
The red circle indicates the sensor on the clutch pedal, the brake just splices into the brake wire - engaging either will cancel the cruise control. Got to dig around the BIG mess of wires to find the actual unit you dial it in on (not the brain box pictured) as the interior loom is all over the place
Also pictured is where the wire goes through the fire wall, which is just to the north west of the engine loom hole (goes through a pre cut hole in the car, no cutting necessary)
Also, the unit that sits in the engine bay is mounted by the brake booster inbetween the suspension turret and the fire wall quite snuggly and out the way.
Cheers

Re: Cruise Control for FTO!
If you could get a pic of the interior control knob, I would really appreciate it. I am really keen on a cruise control setup for my FTO but I want one in that doesn't look out of place in the cabin.
Me? Bitter? f**k no. I think it's hilarious.

Re: Cruise Control for FTO!
well f**k, it isnt in the car, its either sold, or is with the guy i bought it off, said it was completely intact, hopefully he still has it
Here is a link to what it would look like

See if i can track it down otherwise f**k, it would almost be worthless as the replacement heads are worth a bit SPEWING!

Re: Cruise Control for FTO!
OK, the guy still has it and just got to go round and pick it up *phew*
the previous owner had it in the cigerette lighter hole in the centre console, can also be used as a shifter

Re: Cruise Control for FTO!
Gavin bought it originally and had it as a gearshifter but I put it in the console cause I wanted the standard shifter as I didn't find it very comfy.
