Anyone got bottom engine mounts, worn ones no longer needed?

Post by Rob Furniss »

I've been in touch with a poly company in Perth that refurbish engine mounts and want to see if they can do ours.
I'm going to pop up on Monday with my mounts and get a price and timescale but if I go ahead with this I don't want my car out of action for too long so if anyone has spare/old mounts that they can send me i'm happy to pay your freight cost (as long as it isn't stupidly expensive) and a bit more for your trouble, if anyone's in WA with some old mounts then even better.

Also can anyone confirm if all bottom mounts are interchangable between pre-facelift and facelift, manual and auto? My understanding is the only difference between auto and manual are the gaps in the rubber but i'm not fussed about that as i've had solid ones before with no trouble, not sure about facelift and pre-facelift.

They've been back in touch already as I sent them a pic.
Said they can definately do them and it's a 3 day turnaround but depends when they are using that material/product for when they start them, will get a price on monday.

Facelift v pre are all the same. As you say, only tip to man are different (solid vs hollow style) but they also the same diameters, so they're interchangeable.
