I can do a straight swap over to that engine it's just a bored out 8v b3 (B6)
In yours you can put the 1.8L DOHC out of a laser in it (BP engine), also a more common swap is a 1.6L B6T (turbo).
But it'll be harder swapping to EFI from a carby.

Yes yes they do, I have 1.3 carby and all I've done is general servicing, the timing belt and waterpump at 200,000 and a mechanical fuel pump.
The timing belt was so easy I did it with dad and it took us like an hour and a half lol.
It does need new shocks bit bouncy but I don't think I'll bother.
but shocks are done no fuel pump needed yet ( knock on wood ). It even has air con lol. When you put it on the factory 47kws drop to about 20kws
it's like hitting the engine brakes on a truck, the front of the car dives into the road.-

I have aircon as well lol.
I find its good to overtake cars just by pressing the aircon button off, no extra footwork required lol
