DIY day yo.
Here's proposing a DIY (not DIT, I know about those you horrible people) day to do some of the littler things.
I know when I spoke to Bjk we were both interested in headlight polishing, and I know I'd really like to paint my brake calipers. Wondering if anyone else had anything they wanted to do and would like some company for it?

Would be interested if it's on either of my days off and I wasn't busy

Might pick up some of the things for headlight polishing. Suggested to c3bera that time, but would anyone else be interested in pooling in for things like an electric buffer-y thing?

Re: DIY day yo.
I'm keen guys.
I happen to be the headlight polishing master after my experiences
Happy to assist and lend some of my polishing materials...
I also need to do some little things, but I lack the tools. And frankly, it's more motivating to get sh*t done when you're with like-minded enthusiasts! I think that's the most important aspect of DIY days.
Also, poor Tim deserves a break

This is exactly what I was thinking! I've never even taken my wheels off before so I guess the moral support would be good too. Speaking of polishing, what did you use? Will we need to buy a buffer...machine....thing?ObsidianRadio wrote:I also need to do some little things, but I lack the tools. Re: DIY day yo.
Do any of you besides Tim actually have tools?
I can just see everyone turning up to a DIY day and be like "Alright, who brought the tools?"

Yeah, we'll need a buff for the best outcome. I used the DIY guide in the forums. Got all the stuff too! All you'd need to buy is the sandpaper.c3rbera wrote:This is exactly what I was thinking! Re: DIY day yo.
There are tools in the shed here...I couldn't tell you what they each do though.
Umm, I dunno, group trip to Bunnings beforehand maybe?
Next thing is who thinks they could host? I don't think my grandparents would be too happy with this haha, not to mention there's nowhere to park..

Re: DIY day yo.
I would host, but I only have room for one car in the garage at the same time.
My neighbours also believe I'm a deranged drug dealer who participates in "illegal street racing" because my car is not "within prescribed Australian road vehicle standards", so he may think I'm hosting a street party or political riot.

I mean that's only if it'd be alright for you, not to mention you could join us in this little crash course with your own car if DIY takes your fancy?

Cool beans
Now if everyone could be free on one day...
27th/28th? 3rd/4th? 10th/11th?
I'm free each weekend, rest of you will need to narrow it down amongst yourselves haha

Re: DIY day yo.
Only available Fridays and Saturdays, never Sundays.
I can help out with whatever, can get tool if I have enough notice as well
But as for DIY things, there is not much I need to do at the moment
