Liquid Wrap
So the experiments have begun
What you see here is Purple Haze and Red Hot (it's redder in person) in satin. There's about 4 coats of the purple, and about 6 coats of the red - but I thinned it, which isn't needed.
With the purple I put flake in the last coat, which isn't pictured here. Got too dark in garage. I'll take a picture tomorrow before I do the pearl and clear.
With the red I put flake in from the base coat so there's loads of coats of flake.
I will be trying out the clear gloss and I've got some pearl to throw in it.
It's so easy to paint it's ridiculous.

Looks good, but any reason why you chose to spray a damaged bar?

Oh ok, I guess no-one's going to care if you ruin a veilside front bar if it doesn't work out right95Xena wrote:And yeah, testing. The bar was just sitting there waiting for me to fibreglass it

LOL
Thats my old bar, it has the worst fitment, it's a carmate copy.
The foglights don't even line up with the rheo holes, it doesn't line up with the guards and there's about a cm gap between the bonnet in the bar.
Dint in the middle at the top is from someone putting a towball, and bottom piece that's fucked from me bottoming out in a depression in the road at 160kmh

Re: Liquid Wrap
All testing is complete until I get more money to buy more paint. Want to try flake and pearl over black gloss rather than coloured satin. Also want to try some colour shift pearls to see how well they work.
As for how easy it scratches off ... not as easy as you'd think. And it gets harder to remove the longer you leave it. I've got long girly nails and I ran them across the door and didn't leave a mark.
I have every intention of using this stuff either on my car or bass_twitch's when I get it I love the idea of being able to paint my car myself for a grand ... and if I don't like it I can just peel it off. Plus, it seems like everyone wants to stick to the 'proper' FTO colours, and that's just not how I roll

The purple surprised me. I thought it was gonna be too 'in your face'. But it's heaps darker than it looks in the photos.
