Re: Longest-owned FTO
I bought it here in Ireland in 1999, it's a 1995 car so was pretty much like new.
Plenty of car parks, shopping trolleys and minor blemishes since then but it's still in good shape.
Put on a stainless exhaust in 2000 and it's perfect today. Same goes for uprated suspension bushes etc.
The car is still on the original clutch !

*laughs* I vaguely remember posting my original response to this thread.
I've still got the transfer papers for my car sitting in a manilla folder somewhere.
I think I picked it up in the 2nd half of '99 so Kace has a good couple of months on me =P

I've still got mine, she's definitely not in the best condition of her life though.. not road legal /sigh
Engine is running perfectly, still pulls like a schoolboy that just had 'that' realisation. And the 'box still hasn't broken!
I got it in I think June 2006, so what.. 7.5 years?

Re: Longest-owned FTO
It's gonna require a sh*t tonne of work unfortunately; brakes and suspension (the D2's are great, but can't be certified here) at the least. But likely lots of small a.hole jobs too

You've probably also had 7 running cars over four years.
