Dodgy bloody Sony Remote...
Hi folks,
Has anyone got one of these CD units in their car? (Sony CDX-CA850)
And do you have any problems with the remote control units not working??
As you can see by the face, if the remote isn't working... there's no f%cken buttons to press! Only thing you can do is put a CD in and listen to it from start to finish at the one volume.
It didn't work properly when I bought the car (my bad for not checking ) but about 3 months later I was explaining to a mate how it didn't work (providing full demonstration to him) and lo-and-behold, the bastard lit up and started working! Well 2 weeks ago it stopped again...
I've pulled it out, performed a factory defaults reset, changed remote batteries - even 'percussive' maitenance...
Short of going back to Sony, anyone got any clues?
