For those that are interested in seeing a final result(like Boris's but a different colour, Black w/ Red Stitching) I finally finished mine today

Great job silentbob, it just proof that doesn't matter what colour the "leather-look alike" is, it makes the FTO more class & sexy. :D

Hmmmm if i'm not wrong the group buy was $240 including shipping for the set of front & back.

actually i really wanna get a leather trim just for the seats, anyone done it or know where i can get it cheap and cost around?

in my head right now is two front & rear seat trim to blue colour :wink:

So about the leather look alike. What is it called?
I don't like signatures, you are always expected to say something funny or interesting. So I'm not doing one...:)

well, i think most ppl fitted it all them selves. not hard, just time consuming as you have to take the old covers off.
took me a good day and a half to do a good job.

in the group buy section there is another thread on it somewhere.

So the time consuming part was takeing the old covers off? Someone should post a DIY article on this...Any chance of yet another group buy?

i put up pictures in a ZIP file in the original thread. that pretty much covers it. i think it's on page 13, or aroudn that area.

hey boris just wondering why the old trim need to be removed?
wouldnt it still be ok if it stays?
becoz i am worried that leterette quality not good and get riped
at least i will still have old trim

Well for the 1/5 of the price I don't think you can beat the leatherette seatcovers for the value of money, especially they are custom made.

Your leather seats are nice but i rather spend the money on these (as below) for the same amount of money :wink: & yeah i'm getting these leatherette for my back seats & doors :D

Fair comment, how did you fit the seat belts on the Sparcos?

More importantly, what sub frame did you use?

*edit* just realised your using the original belts, most people fit a four point system to complete the look.

Sub frame? As in seat's rails? If so, they are original Sparco's rail designed for FTO, direct boil on, no modification needed. It even still got the original FTO 6E3A stickers on the rails :D
