Yeah should be there on time i hope, its bit of a drive.

I was talking to my mechanic i told him bout the fto dyno day, he reckons mine should get pretty close to same figures, maybe a bit less, ill drop in some octane boost and clean my pod filter.....should make all the differance :D

Fantastic day Aza. The guys at Pulse are really nice and it was one of the better dyno days I've been to. Would have good to see more FTOs though.

My mate took heaps of photos and videos, I'll get them available eventually.

Nice day, good to meet some fellow fto owners.

Just got back and compared my sheets from today to my previous runs. Looks like my ECU is pretty random at the top end of 4th gear regarding air fuel ratios. Last run it kept the afr over 12 the whole way, today it dipped into 11s haha. Maybe i should stick that e-manage in hmm. 3rd gear run was good though, was almost the same as my last dyno run. Good to know the engine is performing stably until it nears 180km/h speed cut.

So i found out the was running a tad rich, i dont know what gave it away, the Air/Fuel ratio or the 6-7 metres of carbon stained fuel i spat out the exhaust behind the car on the workshop floor. :lol:

There's 14 names on the board, were there seriously 14 FTO's there?

I also notice there's a 130kw there with no turbo next to it 8O

that was a magna from mitsi club Ben 3.5L

A big thanks to all that turned up it was a great day 16 cars in total :twisted:
and the VOLVO did show lol it came in at 138KW so we know now that a 5L v8 holden moter in a volvo can be betten by a fto with a bit of work :D

and due to a tank of S**T fuel I only ended up with a 106.5kw should have been 112.5kw but what can you do :?

no but if any one would like there torque readings just give them a call and they will let you know.

I asked for a torque printout yup, got 240nm max. The curve is pretty well shaped too, quite happy with it.

I did a rough conversion from tractive effort to Nm torque if im right i ran 423.15Nm, ill ring them tomorrow and confirm.

Just scanned my torque readout...here it is.

Edit: Ignore green line torque curve. That was 3rd gear. I asked for a 3rd gear run to see full power as my ecu is factory, meaning 4th gear cuts out before 8200rpm.

Gutted. :cry: I pulled 96.5kw (I was the best TIP FTO on the day though :P )My first dyno run 3 years ago was 95kw. Since then I've done cold air and pipes, for 1.5kw, not really worth the money. Any ideas on why? Like AZA, I couldn't get any V power so had to run with BP Ultimate, still 98 octane but. Still runs a 14.678 1/4 mile though :wink:

The s.line that got 234kw yesterday was one that I ran against at the drags a few weeks ago. He gave me a 3 second head start and still beat me by about .5 of a second. He's a good lad though.
