Fixed the indicators/hazards not working on my POS 90 camry lol. Turns out was the relay...i pulled it out, and it had awesome rusty water inside the relay o.0
Couldn't find a replacement one over the weekend (that would physically fit due to other relays/cans around the socket). Ended up flicking the water out, throwing the relay on the ground a couple of times to unstick it and all good...just like new

But what profile tyre you got??? I had 205/40's.. On a 17" rim.. So I swapped this for 215/45's for a bit more height.. Now I need to lower it a bit..

you need to use thin double sided tape to stick the dials down or they get stuck and read inaccurate

When calculating this, remember that the profile size is NOT in millimetres, it's expressed as a percentage of tyre width. Therefore 205/40 --> 215/45 will give you a net increase in height of approx 14.75mm (1.5 cm) / just less than an inch.
However also remember that changing the overall circumference of the wheel WILL throw your speedo out by making it understate your speed (read: more likely to get ticketed when you think you're doing the speed limit).
And because I'm bored, I decided to work out how much it would throw your speedo out by.. might wanna check my calculation though.
Scenario:
16 inch wheels with 205/40 tyres, upgrading to 18 inch wheels with 205/45 tyres.
Net increase in ride height will be about 1.5 cm.
Increase in effective circumference will be from 488.4mm to 553.95mm. That's an increase of about 13.4%, and I would expect the speedo will be out by the same margin.
Therefore, ASSUMING that the car's speedo was calibrated to be about 5% below actual speed from factory, when it was reading 60km/h you were actually doing about 57km/h. IF you upgraded to the above size, and all other things being equal, when the speedo is reading 60km/h you should be doing about 65km/h.

sort of but not quite correct
if you go from 205/50r16 (standard fto size) to 215/40r17 difference is almost non existent same as if you went to 225/35r18 slightly out but not enough to make any impact. essentially the whole rolling diameter stays the same. You are right in saying that side wall profile is actually the aspect ratio of the width of the tyre though.
basically whenever you go up in rim size the width increases by +1 size also however the profile decreases by -1 or -2 ratio to offset the rim and width increase
easiest way to check is via using a tyre size calculator
