When I borrowed it a second time and connected it to ZFL45H1s' FTO it connected successfully and found his codes/issues, but I didn't take pics when I diognosed his FTO as I was too busy trying to solve his issues. :facepalm2:
I will try to borrow it a third time, connect to ZFL45H1s' FTO again and take pics.
BTW it shows codes, fuel pressures, temps, revs, injection times, etc.........All live while engine is running :P
$12000 you say?
I might have to get one, that's only just under 3 times what I paid for my FTO... 8O

It says its OBDII and it would require a USB or BlueTooth OBDII interface............but FTO's are MITII, so it wont work with standard FTO ECU :(
You can get the EVOSCAN tool, some members have purchased it............Do a search if interested ;)

Isn't the FTO MUTII?
But yea, I've been very close to buying an EVOSCAN tool a few times, but I'll wait until I start using my car more.
Than I will order one :D

Just an update on this tappet business.
Being an armchair mechanic I hate to get my hands dirty but my car was sounding like a diesel - all the way and no power to boot.
So have to resort to basic instinct - thinking.
Went to a hardware store and got myself a bottle of oil additive - the one that cleans and reduce engine clutters.
After 3 bottles it's back to normal now...

Screw buying oil, just never change it and let the sludge fix the tappet noise.
