Vip,

Yes, agree with you mate. What you're saying there is that when you put on a bigger rim, you usually decrease the profile (side-wall height) of the tyre to keep the same overall diameter and therefore not put the speedo out.

However, in the situation Craig mentioned (going from 205/40 to 215/45) the overall diameter will increase and it will throw your speedo out (admittedly not by a lot, but worth pointing out anway).

Oh and to stay reasonably on topic, I did this yesterday / day before on my car:
broke gearbox
put car up on hard stands
pulled car apart
investigated gearbox issue
found gearbox issue

lol. thankfully it's an easy fix. just gotta source the parts from camskill.

Ben - stupid question but do i still have front droplinks with coilovers?

just put new coilovers in and they are HEAS better than before, ride is rather good but I do have then set very soft on the damper.

Will put up pic after my new skirts and bar gets put on (when it bloody arrives) It looks like crap at the moment but will have to raise it slightly then as way too low at moment too

change grill, put indicators where they should be, install front pipe to intake, scratch the paintjob on the passenger fender a little bit in the process of putting the bumper back on ...

EDIT: while doing that, Ollie changed my oil, castrol slx 5w40.

Might get foglights - same ones as ben as iv been wanting foglights for agerz! and those ones are cheap as!

I did a good job of that the other day too

Chucked some new droplinks in mine yesterday. Makes such a difference, so nice to drive now, no more sloppy steering.

is that the stock facelift bumper with the foglight mounts ?

i mean i have generic foggies which can be mount universally on all cars. mitsu factory foggies are just too ex, its crazy. But facelift bumpers have no good location for proper mount.

so you saying that the $35 ones from ebay isnt a good fit to the facelift's foglight mount on the rheo ? :?

Did you not read what I wrote in the group buy thread?

The only thing about those foggies that fit was the hole size in the bumper. It took me hours upon hours to fabricate, weld & drill brackets up to bolt the lights to. It then took me even longer to align them on the freshly made brackets so they pointed straight.

only just found this thread. will be fun to update, but sadly i dont have an FTO to work on :( just working on my triton instead.

1. FINALLY got around to getting a proper wiring loom and wiring up the driving lights. looks mean.
2. have acquisitioned a boost gauge, and have worked out where to put it, but am unsure as to whether the tube will be long enough to reach inside the cabin, or where to attach the wiring for it... should be interesting. hopefully this will be in and working on wednesday (lawsochap is gunna come round and give me a hand.)
