So to summerise........
My FTO and I are as one.........we both like to smoke, we both have old engines and with a few mods we are both as powerfull as when new

BTW.....My TAFE teacher said the dyno is reading about 10% less than actual. We didn't have an air blower blowing into the radiator/intake so the FTO was getting hot and there was no air induction.

And that is only due to a lot of $$$ put into it, and the best thing is most of it was not my money .

I wonder who would shell out so much money for it.

That pic is getting some good use as of late.

And sorry Phil, but 99kws is the best you'll probably see without spending some money on that motor. The Dyno was near spot on.

Another FTO Holiday
I have 12 days off work and I am planing to work on my misses V6 Vectra and my FTO.
I will try to get the Vectra done this Saturday and Sunday; rocker cover gaskets (leaking), new intake connector tubes, new panel air filter, engine oil/filter change, coolant change, transmission fluid change, new dash/dial cluster splash (picture of universe), blue dial+dash+switches lighting, pink silicone wipers. Misses says I can paint her bonnet too , clear is starting to peel, anyone know how to airbrush pictures of Bugs Bunny

FTO work will start on Monday, things to do......
1. Replace steering rack and steering fluid
2. Replace timing belt/tension pulley/idler pulley (I did water pump 12 months ago)
3. Replace accessory belts
4. Replace spark plug leads with Magnacor 8.5mm
5. Replace rocker cover gaskets/spark plug seals and any other gaskets/seals required that I find
6. Tappet adjustment and upper engine clean (might even remove cams for a better clean out)
7. Engine oil/filter change and install magnetic sump plug
8. Replace coolant
9. Replace fuel filter
10. Install braided brake lines and replace brake fluid
11. Install pod filter
12. Design and install intake pipe and CAI
13. Install black silicone wiper blades
14. Get wheel alignment and nitrogen pressures checked
.....and anything else that I find or can think of along the way

This will all get topped off with a DIY tappet day on the following Saturday

I was going to do that, but they probably won't be here by the 29th... and even if they would be, I am currently organising and paying for a wedding & honeymoon so anything too expensive is being put off

I know it's not my FTO but I just want to share
It has taken me 4 days to track down and stop all the oil leaks from the Opel/Holden V6 Vectra. I had to strip the top of the engine, fix a leak, put engine back together, degrease, start engine, find next oil leak (which it is impossable to see any part of the head or block when engine is together). I found that the spark plug pipes where so full of oil you could'nt even see some of the plugs anymore
It takes 2 hours to strip the top of the engine and 2 hours to put it back together. There is so many vaccum lines and sensors, it's fun remembering where everything goes. The FTO is simple in comparison

Oil leak list
1. Front rocker cover - Fitted new gasket with some "Ultra Blue" on the half circles. They leaked still Removed it again and oil was getting inbetween the gasket and the rocker cover Refit it again with a heap of "Ultra Blue" to top and bottom surfaces of the gaskets, it oozed out everywhere No more rocker cover leaks but will be a prick to remove next time
2. Rear rocker cover - As Above
3. Oil pressure sensor
4. Oil filter pot, had to make my own tool to get it off of the block (It has a permanant canister/pot connected to block, you just change the paper filter enclosed when servicing)
5. Oil breather valve block, which is bolted to the top of the block next to the rear head. A real prick to get to

After fixing all the leaks the oil cap decides to start leaking. Just like fixing a cooling system, the more you fix the higher the internal pressure gets, the more things start to leak
I have also changed/installed foam panel air filter, air intake silicone connector tubes, oil, oil filter, coolant and trans fluid as well.

Day 1 working on FTO......
Jobs complete....
1. Replace timing belt/tension pulley/idler pulley (I did water pump 12 months ago) - No more squealing tension pulley
2. Replace accessory belts
3. Replace spark plug leads with Magnacor 8.5mm - Matching colour to my FTO
4. Replace rocker cover gaskets/spark plug seals and any other gaskets/seals required that I find - So far no more leaks
5. Tappet adjustment and upper engine clean (might even remove cams for a better clean out) - Engine was cleaner than expected, nice and quiet now
6. Replace fuel filter - So much easier with intake manifold removed
