Or do those sides come out as the first thing, and easy to do?
Yeah the sides just pull out.

Do like that tool.
What colour you painting it? Hopefully not 'Antique submarine grey blown through a maccas straw' again?

Mate that bottom pic shows dedication to restore it to its former glory. Another year or two in the average daily drivers hands & the car would of been good for nothing but scrap. When I'm done, it'll look 5x better than the first pic & last another 30 years.

Whale sharked the temporary front bar with the reciprocating saw & stitched up the cracks in it.

Here's a vid of how easy it is to roll the inner lip of the Guards for anyone wanting to fit wider tyres or rims etc
I was a bit rough because I dont care about the paint coming off, basically just spend more time on the heat gun if u want to save your paint. I also went a I further & actually flared out the guards slightly.
The roller was from eBay for around $90
If anyone wants to borrow mine, they're more than welcome.

And here's a couple more vids on the underseal job. I just pressure washed the whole under neath of the car & wheel wells & let dry for a day. Then cleaned surface with some turps and a rag.
The gun was about $35 & a can of sealer is $25 I'm doing two coats over the whole lot, so far one can has done the two rear wheel wells. I'm removing the exhaust & plan to do the entire underside of the car(hopefully this weekend). It's a sound deadner, stone protector & rust preventative.
I'll put up more pics once complete.

Picked up some extractors. They have some surface rust & was thinking about getting them Sand blasted & hpc coated. Has anyone had theirs done? Does it cost much?
Also fitted the alloy box for the left side of the bay. Airbox side is somewhat harder because of the battery which I don't really want to relocate now with the custom boot instal.
Nearly finished undersealling the whole car, couple more hours tomorrow to do & I'll post up some pics.
