Valandis, dude....this is a totally epic build man, i can't wait to see the end product, sounds like it'll be a weapon lol.

That really sucks about cam gears, i didn't think they would be that expensive, tuff break man :(

None the less, it'll be all worth it!!

koolio - yeah i have changed ive realised ive spent so much and i wouldnt make it back so im keeping her and finishing it off :) probably a wise decision!

el-ade - cheers man, yeah its going to be very interesting how it all turns out as no one has done NA cams for an fto before... so fingers crossed they are effective!

J - Nah theyre not my mechanic sourced them himself. Just universal ones, nothing too special. Will look mint from the front bar though!

Mosti - Everyone has the right to their own oppinion. Im having a gap year. did some work to my car. paying it off. then continuing my study. so what if i have a great passion for my car? Each to their own

hmm unsure... it seems to take longer to shift between gears... also might be slipping between 1st and 2nd...

so interesting to see what happens when the cams are put in.

its getting a tranny cooler then as well

Sounds like your tranny is rooted. You should really get the tranny sorted before instaling the aftermarket coolers because if your tranny does go the cooler will be useless.

Ah wasn't blaming you, worded it wrong dude. He just needs to sort out the issue, could be an ECU, TPS etc before installing the new coolers.

Yep they are different! Also the ECU is year dependent too.

would running a gr tip be bad or good for performance compared to the gpx tip?

well lucky nvr2low sent me the ecu for his gearbox as well then! its just a straight swap over yeah?

might have to get on to that and see if it makes a difference.

cheers man!

ECU should not be a prob

They are different in the way they are geared and as far as im aware no gr's had an LSD where the gpx one could of (if your lucky)

I pressume it has been flushed ETC

well thats really a a matter of personal opinion I used to have tip but converted to man even though I thought the tip box was an extremely good box I just prefer manual.
As Valandis may prefer tip.

Ftevolution is running 6A13TT with a tip box and that thing is a rocket.

The INVECS tip gearbox was one of the best boxes availible when it was released and is still a very good one. I dont think yo can generally say they suck

Nothing wrong with the tip box, I'd probably just change over for the performance advantage.

ive driven a tip fto before and they are ok but what i meant was that if you add a lot of serious mods to the motor like this guy has the tip would just sh*t itself
