Took the FTO to the Sound-Off Super Series on Sunday, and it was quite a good day!
A lot of high-end sound systems there, and an awful lot of large cars to fit them in
With my system, I was classed in the intermediate category as I was running two 12" subwoofers under 1500W. Systems were matched with similar systems to achieve the highest decibel rating throughout three runs! We had to select our own music to get the best out of our systems, but intermediate class were restricted to music only (no frequencies etc).
My results were as follows:
RUN 1: 132.7 (Track: Stalker [Bass Enhanced Edit] - Obsidian Radio)
RUN 2: 133.4 (Anthemic - Magnetic Man)
RUN 3: 141.2 (Anthemic - Magnetic Man + rear seat removal + wind windows up + rotate sub box ports)
Overall, I placed second in the intermediate class out of six vehicles, being beaten by a staggering 146.8 decibels. Pretty happy with the result!

The vehicle with the highest reading of the day was a decked out Volvo, that reached 161.7 DB with in excess of $30K of hardware and six batteries

For my $1500 worth of hardware, I'm not complaining
When I had my system initially tested after I installed it, I was told it was 156 DB, but the potential of a misreading was possible as the decibel counter was damaged. Thought that was a bit fkn extreme

Glad to know my system pumps and that it's actually intermediate comp worthy!

UPDATE TIME.
OKAY, SO A LOT HAS HAPPENED LATELY.
HAD A BIT OF A CRASH. NO BIGGIE. BLOODY KANGAROO AND FENCE C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER.
Got pretty fucked up, fibreglassing, cable ties, paint, panel replacement and superglue were in order.
SO THIS IS WHAT I DID:
Superglue, cable ties, paint and still quarter panels. Driveable, but I really need to spend some decent time on the bumper and the skirt to get the back to a decent condition.
HOLY CRAP, NEW BRAKES.
So I got new calipers compliments of FTO-007's GP spares, as I needed to upgrade from my single pot GR brakes to fit these lovely drilled and slotted rotors! Cleaned them up, painted them red with VHT caliper paint, got some new pads and VOILA! Was great to discover that my old brakes were absolutely rooted. Paper weights for everyone
Cheers Tim for helping with the install
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW.

Nice work on the brakes, they look great
A fair bit of damage on your car, at least you got it back to drivable condition for now.
lol @ superglue
