i was told by my HDT mechanic that the brocks out of factory only did 15s on the quater.

but i know for a car to pull 11.2 sec the engine would have to be worked of its tits . thats fast il need proof of that.

il belive 14s 15s not 11s sory dood im not being mean but il need proof of that.

now back to the ftos i still want to know how much it will pull on the quater.

I reckon over a 1/4 mile you'll do 440 yards.

And then some more after the finish line.

If you do less than this you probably have a problem

The LS1 does 13's stock so why do you need proof basic mods wont get you into the 11's??? Its happening all the time dude LS1's are freaks.

Its the same with the I6 Turbo in the Ford, huge power gain from small mods.

hey fto 338 dont knock the brockys
just becourse there old dosnt make them slow depends on what u do to the engine. thats on any car.

i raced down lygon street freequently in the days draged many cars won many racees including a vl calais turbo which was boosted 40pounds and i won. so dont knock old cars

also xy falcon GT HO come out factory 369kw not even a clubsport of today has that power.

i just found it hard to belive that a comodore with not much work done to the engine could pull 11 secs

end of discussion.

and whats the base price?

1000cc injectors..roughly 700
dump and cat, cat 400 for an ok one...dunp 200-300
new actuator for 8psi...dunno few hundred
ecu remap...prob around 300.

plus labout...looks about right.

Fantastic result...those F6s go hard...would blow my 12.2@113MPH away...but then again mine is 25k and whats yours? :P

take of the cat, you will see sh*t loads of more accorss the whole range...I gained about 20kw everywhere with it de-cat'd.

lol i raced down lygon street freequently in the days draged many cars won many racees including a vl calais turbo which was boosted 40pounds and i won. so dont knock old cars you were racing a calais on 40psi haha good on you. Ok say ther really were runnin 40psi which i doubt a hell of a lot. the intercooler would of wanted to be massive in order to cool it down otherwise it would of went like crap 40psi hot air is slower than 12psi of cold so you prove nothing with your statement except your a liar.

and as for the GTHO having that much power is a load of crap too it had 225kw maximum and they were the meanest car of there day. Look old cars may have the cubes but thats not substitute for technology. Even the phase 3 GTHO only had 270-280kws and that was the best they got except for the 4 phase fours brought out!

lol 40psi is a lot...must ahve been a special car...like to see it come on boost. But different turbos run different boost I have seen 36...but again he had spent about 100k on the engine alone.

Ihave seen VLs pull 11s...I think I saw one do a 10. They can pull fat times, but its not with a 2k mod.

but who knows...just wack up the boost and let it rip...

Now meanest car of its day....hmmm who could go past the R32 GTR ....for a car made in 1990....it still owns.

but fto forum dont really care about LS1s i guess...
btw...these days, its piss easy to get 11s down the quarter
so 11's are not much to be proud of...
10's are good.

Well that depends on what kind of old cars you talking about, there are lots of classic and muscle cars that will pull chicks better then new cars.

Each to their own, no point comparing different era technology. Is like comparing NASA 10yrs old supercomputer to your latest house hold computers, same performance, but different purpose.
