the container in the pic is master cylinder for clutch, it has nothing to do with brakes.
If the fluid is very low, you have an issue there; check out the connection points of the pipe to the master for any leakage, it is easily identifiable.
If no fluid is left, air will be introduced to the hydraulic system and you will loose your clutch pedal, won’t be able to put the car into gear anymore
I have covered this in FTO help section, check out the sticky
Like most hydraulic systems, clutch hydraulics use brake fluid as well, dot 3 or 4, don’t get anything else, especially 5 which is a silicon based product, you will have to replace the whole clutch hydraulic system if you use dot5, inc master, slave, pipes, etc...
You need to bleed the system as well when introducing new fluid, bleeding is done through slave cylinder.
ignore the comments,
just had a look at the pic again

Can feel the air bubble in the in the brakes... All the seals need to be replaced in the master, as you can see that there is a leak going down on the firewall, plus the lid needs to be replaced, and there looks like a bit of a leak at one of the seals near the top of the unit also.. So will get a whole new unit ... Should fix it...
Clutch feels like it is slipping also, but will wait to fix the above before I start to look at replacing the clutch itself...
The sender in the oil temp gauge, seems to be the thing that is making the sump leak ... So will take out the sensor, replace the sump plug, and look at wiring the temp gauge into the ECU, if it sends a signal to it for oil temp ...
