They do make me want to rub one out :jerk:

Its not about having six pistons thou, its about having a 1200kg car and 356mm rotors - hence the lack of heat. There's not enough stopping momentum.

A V8 supercar fully loaded with driver is 1480kg and they only run 375mm rotors
A Porsche 911 turbo fully loaded is 1600kg and it only runs 356mm rotors
A VE SS Commodore has a curb weight of 1690kg at run a 320mm rotors
An EVO 8 has a curb weight of 1450kg and has 320mm rotors
A CE Lancer has a curb weight of 1320kg and has a 256mm rotos

See where Im going with this?

well my car with everything in it (100kg of sound system + extra 20kg for turbo setups etc + 70kg for me) is about 1380kg... (standard dry is 1180kg)

And with hopefully more power than all of those (bar the v8 Supercar)

dont forget that there are readily available brake upgrades for all of those...

So its not THAT far off.... And as i said... if i do mountain runs, i drive at least half an hour to get there.. and with the power i should be putting out, i'll be working the brakes pretty hard as they warm up..

Some relatively soft pads should do the trick.. and just replace them a little more often...

i think by now its pretty obvious i want these for the looks... hehehe

well if you are upgrading then it would be a good idea to do the master cylinder and lines as well, that way you know that they are going to work the way they should.

just lining up full braided lines and master cyulinder upgrade...

whats the standard bore?

Standard GPX is 15/16", standard GR/GX is 7/8" - Go up to the 1" bore.

When you pull the old one off, the bore size is embossed at the front of it. Pic below is the 1" bore unit, hence the big "1" on the end of it.
