vipfto wrote:From cat back will give you the noise and it will give you more KW too
IMO add the extractors later they will also give KW and will only change noise slightly as you would of already had cat back done
yep this was precisely what i was getting at

Oh so the total kw gain of the entire zost is throughout, i thought it i read from somewhere here that the headers+hiflow cat held most, if not, all of the kw gains, and minimal for the 2.5 catback upgrade. oh well, thats good news for me then

yeah iv seen that a number of times, but did you have a resonator on that time of the video ? sounded a bit harsh at the high rpms though i rekn...

no thats without the resonator

yeah im getting the 4" double lip cannon - i rekn the tone will be a bit tighter than the 4.5" . then setup resonators to get a throaty tone, not necessary loud but deep and throaty

btw, aside from varex, are there any other mufflers that give a nice deep and throaty growl (specially for the fto)? iv been checking out the magnaflow and theyr not bad at all

one other thing, when getting the extractors, collector pipe and high flow cat done, does the shop replace the O2 sensors or do you DIY ?

They wont replace it unless you ask. But its gotta come out & go back in during the process.

not sure how this goes but is the O2 sensor on the catback half or on the cat-extractor half ?

looks like itll be 260$ less for me as the cannon muffler will be the tip.

You wont get a deep sound with a cannon on it. Thats like a mega phone

really ? but iv seen a youtube video of an fto with an N1and it sounds deep to me, well if thats not a deep sound, then at least its the ideal sound that i want.

yeah, I would personally chose a magnaflow muffler over the canon.

And an N1 is even louder! Ever heard Bushido's car in the flesh? Sounds like a f**ken plane taking off! Ear Piercing!

Well at the wisemens ferry cruise i really ddnt get to witness it properly ..
But how do you get a deep and throaty exhaust note ? like the tone is mostly from the engine, not like those ones that have a sound of their own

All I have done is changed out the cat and back muffler to high flow and that gives of a nice deep sound.
