Re: Limp mode
Yup. There are about 6 plugs on the tip box in total, the speed sensors are closest to the middle of the top of the box & are the 2 smallest plugs out of all the plugs. They have a small bolt / screw holding them in.

Seriously hope it's just the sensors! Will give it a clean after work.

Re: Limp mode
Well next step would be to check out the voltage on the input and output sensors but I don't have the manual at work to be able to tell you the range and it may be hard for you to check them yourself. I would ask Bennoz if you could buy/borrow his ones to try them out to see if that fixes the problem (my bet is that it will fix it). And if it doesn't then it is time to start looking for freight company's to ship dstocks one over.
EDIT: in saying that did you just replace the fluid or flush it completely out. Did you engage all positions to flush out as much fluid as possible?

I may give then a clean this Arvo but failing that I may have to just do what you said.
Hey ben any chance I could borrow those sensors? Also do the sensors differ? Mine is 94 gpx 4spd
I already got a gearbox on standby from Dras. Just need to confirm that it is actualy the box. =(

Re: Limp mode
Ok just had an ATTEMPT on cleaning the sensors managed to get the one underneath the battery fine but the other one.. That's another story! It seems that it was stuck and I never actually got it out coz it seems like it was stuck! I could twist it round and round but it won't come out! No matter how much force I apply!
Any idea guys?

Re: Limp mode
Just curious.. Are the two sensors near each other? As in, near the filter?

Re: Limp mode
Damn! What was the thing I was trying to put out yesterday then? It's located the back ok of the transmission kinda directly above the downpipe for the exhaust...

Re: Limp mode
Ok something stupid happened! Dad thought the car was fixed so he took it to the shops down the rd. But on the way home it never made it back so now it's stuck at the parking lot. I had a look at the sensors once more and cleaned both. Still the same but this time when I check the code the "N" just kept flashing at 1Hz.

Re: Limp mode
Well that is saying there is no error codes.
When you say it never made it back.... what happened? If you need help mate you need to be very detailed.

Re: Limp mode
It never left the parking lot. Reverse works fine but when you put it in drive it just revs and rolls very slowly. I think it was in third? Had to get it towed home.

Re: Limp mode
And its not throwing any codes?
Either it is something you have done or it is terminal.
