A guy almost dies and yet you feel it's appropriate to make dumb, insensitive jokes? Real mature.
Glad to hear the driver is alive, and I wish him luck for what will no doubt be a long and painful recovery process.

Im sure the last thing he meant to do is to come across as insensitive or innapropriate.
He was just probably trying to make the situation lighter with humor or something - everybody has their own way of dealing with these kinds of things.
I do wish the driver well, it is sad to see a good car and a good guy messed up in something like this - hopefully it wont happen to anyone else.

[quote="pete_gpx"]Well, after trading my FTO for a Sileighty, I was kind of looking forward to seeing my old car around the place and given a little more of the love and attention it deserved... However, I guess that won't be the case.
The guy I sold it to (Tim) hit a horse on the M1 (highway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast for you non-QLD people) at 110km/h. Luckily, Tim is injured, but alive, with two skull fractures and a few cuts and bruises. How he survived, I honestly don't know. The pictures say the rest.
She's up for sale at the auctions.

The reason why they don't is because you would then need to wear a helmet. Something the general population is not willing to do. If you had a roll cage and weren't wearing a helmet, your head would be smashed against the bar killing you, defeating the whole purpose of having one in the first place.
