Another brand you might want to consider is Race Brakes (www.racebrakes.com.au). It's an Australian company that specialise in all things brake related (eg. rotors, conversions etc). I found their brake pads were a great replacement for the stock ones and competitively priced.

You should pay them a visit if you have any brake enquiries.

I'm running Racebrakes RB74 pads on DBA slotted rotors at the front. Cost about $450 including fitting. Glad I got them fitted by a mechanic because the calliper bolt on one of mine had nearly seized. Defintely has improved braking performance particulary during a hard run because there's less brake fade.

Yeah, EBC greenstuff is too hardcore for those DBA rotors. If you got yourself some of the higher end DBA stuff like the 4000/5000 series they'd probably go well together.

i thoroughly recommend race brakes, i've been using their pads for a while now and they are rock solid, i've never had a problem with them even on long runs (50km worth of winding roads). The only issues i have are the amount of dust, but i can live with that.

Yep, same. Although mine seem to have settled down a bit compared to when they were new. My wheels are easy to clean (ie. they don't have lots of small spokes) so the dust doesn't bother me.

my wheels are gunmetal grey in color so any brake dust is of no problem to me at all, LOL... ;)

Mate the only place that I know of that fits Race Brakes pads is Race Brakes themselves. They're just up the road from me at Wetherill Park, but that's nowhere near 10-15km from the CBD. :(

Hi guys,

Just a simple question..

For the rotor that's stock standard....does any one know if you can sand paper them or clean them some how as mine is all rusted on the edge, and it'll be like this for most people's cars I think!

Can you let me know if any one has actually sand paper these or cleaned them some how?

Eric, Race Brakes can do it all man. Go to the website www.racebrakes.com.au and you'd know what I mean.

But like TheSentry said, they are not 10-15KM from the city (also means low rental cost). Well worth the drive though.

Let us know about the pricing. Would be interested if there are discounts for more than one car (just for the rotors, as I already have the pads).

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd put another brand of pads in here. I've got Pagid pads fitted to my TX3 at the moment, and there terrific, at least once they get heat in them they are (the Tx3 is a rally car with race brakes). It's terrific to see so many people considering brake upgrades I've just got a few questions.

I am going to buy my first FTO next year after I finish uni and get a job (I want a GPvR). So will the standard disks take upgraded pads like Racebrakes without warping or has everyone needed to update their disks as well. And also I'm going to want to be doing track days and stuff with my car so a brake upgrade is something at the top of my shoping list, hehehe. Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone with larger front disks have done with the rears. Have people put the larger stock fronts on the rear or jsut left them standard? Let me know what you've all done please.

You could file/sand the rusted bit off but it will just go rusty again cause it is exposed to moisture etc, but would look nicer for shows etc
and yes everyones are like that
