Dude, if your concern about cross contamination, have the fuel filter changed before the next fill. There were complaints about ethanol based fuel in the 90's, engine with busted head gasket and valves cos it was not tunes to safely run it. My 4 stroke lawnmower runs a bit sluggish with e10.

Australia has sh*t fuel, our fuel is the pond scum that's left in the bottom of the Japanese fuel :D
i WISH we got Japanese back wash, but dont we get American leftovers or have we changed again?

guys, stop your scare-mongering,

a tank of E10 once will do f**k all and you probably wouldnt even notice,

it is perfectly safe to run E10 on jap cars, i know lots of people who do it and you wouldnt bloody know.
in a 15/16/17 year old car the damage is already done, and the fuel is most likely the least of your worries.
The quality of E10 is probably 10 times as good as the 91 fuel of a decade ago.

yes I agree, E10 isnt great, but its still bloody fuel!
And as i said, 'water' it down with some 98 and you'll be fine.

there is absolutely no need to drain your tank or change your fuel filter BECAUSE of E10...

Use the best quality/highest Ron fuel you can afford and judge for yourself.

to be quite honest i can't see this E10 being to bad. theres some performance shops up here that are getting some wicked HP numbers outta E10 and i'm talking about expensive cars not cheap cars

That'll be PULP E10, not regular E10. PULP E10 is 100+ Octane.

Yep, that would be PULP e10 from the pump.

If you're trying to claim that there are expensive high horsepower cars in QLD running regular unleaded e10 then I'm sorry to say that you're either completely full of sh*t, have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, or these particular Qld'ers ain't real bright :D

Yep, that's a PULP e10.

United is probably the most common out there, they sell their Premium 100 e10 fuel which they rate as 100 octane.

And some may remember V-Power Racing that Shell discontinued a few years ago, this was V-Power with 5% ethanol, so a PULP e5.

For the FTO, Yes.

For most performance cars post whatever that date is, yes.

If i put PULP E10 in my car do i need to drain that crappy 98 and change the fuel filter?

Nope, but I would suggest change the filter after say 1000km's. The ethanol will clean your fuel system so the filter may have a bit more crap in it than usual. But after that all's good :D

i'm just going by what these shops are putting on facebook with pics and dyno sheets. another shop posted today with 555 rwkw from a high powered 180sx. i know a 180 isn't an expensive car but still impressive from what is ment to be crappy fuel
