Good work, I honestly can't believe you did that yourself. I'd just pay you $2k to respray my car if I ever needed it done
bjk wrote:Haha, I was thinking the same thing. If he could be convinced to take another three weeks off work that is. :P
When I bought the FTO it had 2 tiny bumps on the roof (apparently common with early FTO's)

I spent $2k on product/paint/tools, I worked 12 hours every day for 20 days straight, it was fun but also very stressfull (I didn't know how it was going to turn out, I could have destroyed by beloved FTO).
Moral: I don't know if I would do it again and @ $2k I wouldn't earn any money for my time, so the short answer is NO!

When I bought the FTO it had 2 tiny bumps on the roof after 18 months it had 2 large lines of rust across the roof (apparently common with early FTO's)

NO!
Give it a go yourself, worst that can happen is you stuff it up and then pay someone to do it.
Start with something of less value, like a panel from the wreckers (they would probably give you a damaged one for free)
There is plenty of threads and books about the subject.
When you succeed, you can be as proud as me :cheeky:
Av-a-go-ya-mug :D
