Well anyone know how much would it cost?
Lets say, with the timing belt and without (:
How much would it be around?
Oh and this might be kinda stupid, but is there anyway of checking the timing belt and see if it has been changed by previous owner?
Brought the car with no log book nothing, hence yeah o-o

I'd be surprised if any of us have original log books...
Best to give the workshops a call for a price.

Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, timing belt + pulleys, accessories belts, coolant flush, brake fluid change, tapet adjustment, hand brake adjustment, tyre rotation, brakes checked, lights checked, minor fixes etc
This is actually a pretty good list of what should be done.
Thanks bass_twitch

, I was expecting the list to be ripped to pieces and ridiculed

It's approximately $900ish for a reputable mechanic to do it for you. The timing belt is cheap, under $200 for an aftermarket one. Just use the search function for gates timing belt and you'll find codes for GR and GPX (put up by Ben somewhere).
People are willing to help others with things, but this doesn't mean you can just rely on going to a 'DIY' day every time you need to do a service. This is just taking advantage of people who are helping you do things.
It's fine if somebody's servicing your car etc and you give them less than what a mechanic would charge or buy them a case of beer etc for their troubles, compensate them accordingly, but DON'T have the expectation of "just come to the DIY day and watch people work on your car while you sit back and drink beer". It's just disrespectful and extremely selfish.
