What ECU were u running with this 007?

And how much was it?

I wouldnt be interested in getting a standalone.

If u were running a standalone what piggy back would u reccommend?

I was running a stand alone ecu. I bought a wolf v500, it was a plug and play ecu highly recommended has traction control, can flat change, launch control, turbo timer, controls NOS, controls turbo so you can run different boost in each gear, controls all standard settings ie aircon, cold start, all sensors and the list goes on it cost around $2200 and another $1100 to get it tuned....I was going to put a piggi back into it but they said cause im changing the engine from an n/a to turbo they said it isnt the best was to go..when i was looking at piggi back computers i was looking at a greddy E-Manage.

I think that sounds a bit overkill for me. I have tcl already on the car.

I dont think i want to complicate it.

Why did it cost so much more to tune it?

Would 6k be enough u think to buy this kit and all the necessary equipment?

i assumed it was always around 1k to tune them? oO

It cost more cause the engine was fully built and they ran it in on the dyno and the engine wasn't running when I took it up. I would say you could do it all for around 6k with out going over the top with everything

Cause you'd be the sucker having to install it and the person he would run too when it doesn't work no more

i bloke at works interested at helping me turbo my fto if i end up doing it

btw for a ecu if funds were low couldnt you just use the ecu from an old 6a12 turbo galant? would work right?

um guess that might work....not sure about the mivec might have to get a piggi back computer to controll the mivec and the variable intake intake...

thats true, i didn't think about the mivec

you could bi pass the variable intake and wire it up so its opened all the time or rip it out just easyer to rip it out lol...and you could buy a mivec or VTEC YO!!!!! controller to work the mivec

Does this turbo kit give you 170kw ontop of the 200hp from the engine? If so that's awesome
