Your code is not different than other ones. The codes Taz posted up are for manual gearboxes.
Your code is normal for a 4 speed tip and you have a LSD.

Find someone else in the UK with an LSD with the shaft you want, borrow it for a day and take it down to a local driveshaft place to fab you up one or find something that fits

1. finding an FTO in UK is becoming a problem
2. most of them don't even know if they have LSD
3. fab-ing one up will cost a fortune
dstocks told me that he has a bunch on the shelf so i hope there's one there for me

OK, have had no luck with the ones I have - they are all 63mm like yours (all 7 of them). So, on to the next option. Have had a look in ASA (Mitsubishi's Parts database) and get the following list of inner Drivers side knuckles:
Now, I have reverse engineered the option codes and A90 seems to relate to LSD (A90 ,FR LSD), so I think the parts number you need is MR232224. Can someone please sanity check this for me and make sure im not missing something. I think the only option is going to be to order a new one and if we get it wrong, I cant send it back.

John (MOR31) has pinched my LSD drivers driveshaft for a few days to take it to a shop and get it copied - if i can get a hold of him in time and give him this part number they can confirm/unconfirm it while they have a proper one already there

Camskill has a replacement LSD for auto/manual boxes as this one for up to 1997;
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m3b0s12p80310 ... to_01_1997
It lists
MR232223 as the inner CV joints. They seem to think this is the most common LSD so if flateric has another type then you might be right.
So hard to tell.

I think MR232223 is the standard drive shaft knuckle for tips maybe (As that is the most common, that's the one Camskill would sell). That would make MR232222 the manual drive shaft. Note that MR232224 is the only part number that is option code specific. As the LSD is an option, it must be a number that matches an option code. And A90 corresponds to LSD, so I think that must be the one. I cant see any other way of looking at it, but maybe someone else will.
Interestingly, there are only 3 part numbers listed for all FTO's. Given we know manual, 4sp tip, 5sp tip and LSD are different, which one of these is actually the same. two of these must actually be the same part, otherwise there wouldbe 4 part numbers, not 3.

I can cross check when I get back from holidays.
What's so difficult about cutting it down to size? Would be an hours work on a lathe to cut it down & cut a new circlip groove.. Case of beer job!

John tried a few stores including mitsubishi with that part number - and mistubishi told him to try that part number in Japan or NZ
