I thought it was tiptronic, but kept seeing triptronic everywhere. Now that you've shouted at me, and used the good lords name in vain, I do remember making that mistake when I was first looking and vowed to never make it again opps. Fair point I should have known better.

This listing finished a few days ago, the car did not sell.
It is a Nakaya Tune but its a trip

It may be worth the hassle of contacting her through Ebay because this car looks in good nick and it has been garaged ( you can tell by looking at the pic of the engine bay)

It also looks like the genuine thing , having the "Nakaya lip" on the front bumper
If it it real, its a bloody rare car mate only 122 built.

I was kinda saving this one for myself, but you seem to be having a slight problem finding a decent car

This car is worth following up, it is worth getting in touch with her to see if she still has the car, and coming to a "deal".

I posted here because if I post it on the UK forum there will be a mad dash to find this car, its only the second Nakaya Tune that I have found in the UK, the first one had been F'ked about with and has been thraped shitless

That is a gorgeous looking car even without the Nakaya tune badge. Love the icelle blue. Is such a rare colour over here. Have only seen one that colour in person.

I watched this car like a hawk from when it first went on sale, but for my brothers car going on the "blink" this car would now be mine. I can't afford both.

Ben, if you do get to see this car, ask to see the Nakaya certificate, if the car is genuine it will have one

May have been lost over time like original log books and such.

I would also look to see if it has the ralliart exhaust. If it has low kms then it MAY have Ohlins shock absorbers too. Me thinks it is a Nakaya if its blue and has the lip. If you can find the VIN number (DE3AXXXXXXXXX) then post it up and I can put it through the VIN decoder and see if it's legitimate.

I have asked for the VIN number, received more pics and am organizing a time to see it.

Leaning towards this over the silver manual. The colour is too nice to pass up and I can always have it converted to manual if required.

I don't think she would be stating that it was a Nakaya tune if it wasn't Ben to be honest

99% of people on Ebay would "shout out loud" that they had a NT, and realising the rarity of the car , would have screamed for money money money. This sale was kept very low key, kind of a reluctant sale.

I go with "gut feelings" when it comes to cars, and like the first one I found(when everyone was shouting that the NT was a myth) and there wern't any in the UK, hahaha, but I found one. Even the guy who bought it (the day I was going to look at it) said it wasn't a NT, 12 months down the line he was thinking of selling the car, until I showed everyone the VIN number, all of a sudden , he won't part with it for the world.

This car is a genuine NT mate, my "gut feelings " told me that, thats why I watched it like a hawk on Ebay, and never said a word on the UK forum. I was hoping it wouldn't sell and that it would be put back in the garage, used occasionally, and be there when I had enough funds to purchase it in about 6 months time

It didn't sell, and went back in its garage , all was going to plan, then my brothers engine went in his COTY,and my plans went down the toilet. I could have stayed "schtumm" about this car, but I saw that you were having problems finding a "decent FTO" for your money(99% of FTOs in the UK are as rotten as F'k mate, honest ) good cars are very hard to come by. I have my COTY, thats my P&J and always will be, I was going to buy the NT to put in a garage for the next 10 years(mothballed)because in future years there will not be any around, and just think how much a good NT will fetch then, same with the COTY,they will both command a high price, wherever in the world that they remain

QUIT fannying around, just ask her if she has the certificate yes or no , if she has it , buy the car , if not , leave it mate

Rims are cheap as chips Ben, and they have high kerbs in lincolnshire I know , I used to live up there, so I would expect the rims to be a bit grotty being as the owner is a woman as well lol

"the car is solid no dents" is worth £1000 on its own, the cam belt /tensioners/ water pump have all been recently done is worth another £5-600, then its a rare NT, bloody priceless mate, only 2 found in the UK after 3 years of hard searching

If I was in your shoes mate, I would have bought the car already, and by now be trying to figure a way to get it back to Aus, cos they are even rarer over there

I marked your card for you Ben,I would hate this car to end up un some "knob heads" hands and get ruined by someone who doesn't appreciate the FTO and the model for what it is its all I can do mate at the moment
Tomorrow I have to get one broken COTY and my spare engine over to a FTO specialist, and I had earlier " blagged" a pair of free tickets to our annual meet, which means that my brother and me could actually go this year , but only on the sunday.

Where are you in the UK ??and do you have a postcode for this womans address
I will try and work something out if you are not too far away from Stratford upon Avon, (the Annual meet is 5 miles away lol)it depends on where you are located
If I can do this mate, the fuel bill is yours bud.

I have one condition though, if you do buy the car , you must drive to the Annual meet with me to show it off to FTOOC members there, so they can see it with their own eyes and take some pics. They are a lot rarer than COTYs Ben
