So it could be pretty much anything.

Basically

I'd start at temp sensors and a good radiator/cooling system bleed if you haven't already and go from there.. is all pretty basic stuff though.

Where are the temp sensors located dan? And where would I be able to get a replacement?

Shhhhhhhhhhhtuart has them I think.

They're around the thermostat housing. One is back towards being in line with your battery terminal and one is a little further toward the front of the car.

Replaced it on saturday so it can't be that. Unless the connection is actually dodgy.

Which one though? Or both?

In that case may be fan switch or something but doubt it.

Only does it when stopped, or slow traffic. So im thinking maybe a blocked/dirty radiator.

Fans are fine. Turn on when too warm. I just want to find out why its getting hot

Get mechanic to chuck a temp gun on it and see if it actually is getting too hot or if gauge is incorrect.

Mechanic said will most likely need a new radiator.... whereabouts would be the best place to get one?

Has he looked at the car and checked the flow of the radiator?

I hate when people will tell you it is radiator related without even looking...

Took it to a radiator guy, explained what's happening and he said it's most likely fan related.

All the aluminium radiators on the net are manual ones, regardless of what they tell you. I found out the hard way. It worked out cheaper to buy a manual one and hook up and external transmission cooler.

Would having no AC affect it?

Doubt it. Separate systems.

Did he check it with a temp gun?
