Howdy do?
Just waiting on the covers from max, should be here shortly. I was looking for some tips on fitting, but the AU site is loading very slow over here in the UK at the mo.
Can any of you guys point me in the direction of some hints an tip threads please?
Oh and how many cable ties of what length do you need to fit a set?
I see I need to get some wire from a store as well, what diameter and how much would I need for a set of covers?
Thanking you in advance

whoohoo one of my first posts. lol buy uv resistant cable ties. size around 9 inches should be sufficient. u would need atleast a hundred for the whole car. as for the wire i think we ended up gettin around 20 meters which i still have like half left. so 10 meters should be good. theres a zip file floating around with pics showing u how to do them. look in the group buy sections should be there.

Just gotta find some suitable wire and i'm set to give mine a go... Thinkness/bendyness a factor, or do i just go out and appropriate some from a fence in a nearby field?

Less! 2mm max. The more flexible the better. I will put a DIY when I get a minute to myself - Including all the info from everyone that put them on

That'll be a great help, as you might be aware there are 20 or so members of UK club eagerly awaiting a set of covers.
I've just come back in, I neeed to buy some more grommits for a batch of top mount & nut covers, while I was in the hardware store I saw some fencing wire, 2mm x 20 meters. So I bought it.

Just gotta get me some cable ties and hopefully I'll have all I need.
I have a spare set of seats waiting at my workshop ready for me to spend an hr or so on em per evening before I go home. The door cards are the ones that worrying me though. I've seen a couple of pics with tell tale bubbles

No worries V4, I'll do it tomorrow. was going to do the DIY yesterday but ran out of time. There is enough info hidden on this site to do it well, just all over the place!
