I'm pretty certain that the operating temperature is not the issue, but what's the actual operating temperature for reference purposes?

Getting an accurate reading is difficult in the FTO but I find when my gauge hits around 60 degrees, I know it's pretty safe to floor it....in a responsible and controlled manner of course :)

cant believe no ones mentioned this yet.... Are you sure its a GPX? :) not a GR. or a GPX with a GR motor?

Plus the price range is a little bit higher than the ones I'm looking at right now anyway.

you'll find that people generally selling their car under $14K have problems with it. To find a decent one u need to spend above $14K.

hahahaha... just read FTOluv's post so decided to add a note to this...

I've just put a deposit on a mint '94 FTO with tip & 59,000 k's. no mods, 1 owner in australia.

$12k... 8)

it's a miracle then...
