Im seriously considering this option, i was going to turbo my car but due to cost for getting it roadworthy this is definately the cheaper option as by eye u couldnt tell the engine has been swapped :) and therefore the cops wont beable to defect u :)

Whoever does this (im sorting out funds now  ) will have the quickest N/A FTO hands down ....

Thats a good question seeing that no one has done this before there is nothing to compare it too. Dave is emailing me when he has a price on the 2.5 litre with forged internals, ported heads, 12.5:1 CR. Probably go bigger injectors too

lmao barfy and i tought u were selling your car

well the only reason i was selling was the lack of options to get more power, now that this popped up i might aswell keep my car and spend the 8 to 10k on an engine rather than on a R34 or WRX upgrade...

Because knowing me once i get a R34 or WRX i will spend shitloads on that aswell. Atleast if i get this engine upgrade i know there is NOTHING more to do on my car and i will be content :)

You can do cams and stuff to that engine
You can always do more!

Option up for titanium internals instead of forged too :)

Well the motor is bored, honed and now awaiting being assembled.

Forged CP Light weigh 12.5 : 1 pistons, forged Argo Engineering conrods, the bottem end is going to be bullet proof. With a set of RPW Ported heads, and stock cams, this should be a torque monster in comparison.

Get a mildly larger set of low rpm cams which the larger motor would just eat up, and slightly larger high rpm cams, and the engine should easily get 180 - 190kw at the flywheel.

Once the short motor is built then we can finalise pricing for the rest of the motor.

Finally after four years of being on a bench we can finish this monster. Larger injectors will be a must but thats very easy to organise, just use some Magna injectors 275cc units which are proven good for 200kw on a V6 engine.

Computer, well if its a manuel then we can provide a Haltech E6X or E11 plug an dplay unit now. Auto then its a wire in job.

Cams? Getting bigger Cams was on my list of "to do" things, but I was told by a very reliable source (won't say who), extremely hard to get cams in aus for FTO, so looks like that isn't going to happen unfortunately

Cams are not that hard to get ;)

Getting the correct grind will be :(

RPW Has had billet camshafts for the FTO in stock for a very long time now.

The main issue has been , that we do not recomend changnig the camshafts on a stock FTO because they simply don't need it.

The only vehicles that would require a cam improvement are race cars where low rpm driveability is not required or in cases like this where the engine capacity is being increased and larger cams requried in the low rpm range to match the engine capacity / vollumetric efficiency.

And as well there very expensive being custom sets.
