Date: 1st October
Time Start: 10am
Where: Start Mount glorious
Route: Round and down the mountain to the M1
Then down to southport and along the coast to Duranbar
Ending: Finish at D-Bar with a lunch/ BBQ etc and just do whatever from there..
Can we set a more specific place at Mt Glorious to start please?

Alrighty, I think I have found somewhere to meet up. I think I use to go there a lot when I was younger...
Maiala Recreation Area, Browns Rd Mt Glorious. Its easy to get to but I'll get a map up later today/tomorrow.
Once you go past Mt Nebo road on the left.(if your coming through Samford) Its the forth right off Mount Glorious Road.
You have to go around a hairpin turn to the left along Mt Glorious Rd so keep driving til you get to that once you go around that there is a easy right turn then your practically at Browns road
If anyone has any better ideas feel free to shoot me down
OR
We can make the Alderley Arms Hotel our offical meeting point for all cruises, that way it makes things a lot easier for everyone
I know that would be ideal for this cruise as we are going up the mountain first

I agree.. Seeing as i will be organising a few more of these now, it may be easier and quicker if we make alderly arms hotel car park the meeting point everytime. the last cruise i did we met there and there was plenty of parks and easy enough to organise...
Anyone got a prob with this just say so.

OKay, how about if we meet at alderly arms hotel...
then cruise on up to Maiala Recreation Area, Browns Rd Mt Glorious.
Then perhaps go somewhere closer?? maybe bris or southport for bbq lunch etc..

i like the somewhere closer idea... wasn't looking forward to drving 800km in a day (return trip).
BBQ down at the coast or something sounds cool though.
um... can i be real lazy and ask someone to post a map of where we r meeting? i'll probably still end up being lost though

i believe D'bah came from my first reply to this cruise and i also agree thats a LONG drive.
Definatly up for goldie though. worst case we can decide on the day. but how bout Broad beach (100m away from pac fair) has BBQ, Park for footy, Beach. (Chick factor good to Borep). and if it to busy im sure no one complain to see 10+ FTO's following the road next to beach untill we find a good site.
