Found a screw in my rear wheel. Hoped it was not all the way through but it was. Swore a few times and left it. Worry about it another day

got rear ABR bushes and droplinks replaced today.
Also found a nail, not screw in my rear left. I guess its normal, just control the urge from pulling it out. it will be alright.

OK today I changed out my radiator hoses to the samco ones (ten min job)
when I did a pressure test I found my front engine mount bolt hanging out
.
So Ben now we know that it's not the Back mount that was letting go on the dyno LOL
Yes I know the samco sticker is not strait and the bay needs a clean

I have to go to the auto shop first thing to get a new bolt for the engine mount so I can pick up some coolant for you at the same time.

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
Yep I could
I have to add as well that when I was driving around trying to get a new bolt for the mount I could feel the motor bouncing around
But now it feels great. I will post up a pic of the old bolt as soon as I get a chance, it was only hanging in the mount by about 1.5cm.

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
OK .. So jacked the car up yesterday ... Got some jack stands off my mate ...
Tried to find out why the hell the car was making some loudish bump noises near the front passenger side of the car ... Turns out there was no bolt in the lower control arm ... And just some general loose threads ... So, didn't have a bolt to replace, and took her to the mechanic... So the work so far has been ..
Samco Hoses put on by Aza and myself on Sunday .. Well mostly Azza ....
Radiator flush thanks to the fire hose in my garage ....
Oil change by me yesterday + filter
Diagnosed the one of the bump noises ...
Mechanic to flush power steering and replace with Samco Hose ...
Mechanic to replace bolt and check other aspect of coilovers
Also looking at a gearbox service, but will see ...
Mechanic to look into air con .. Think it just needs gas....
So I should have her back today ... Funny thing was the old man had to drive it ... He followed me, cause I was driving the GSR ... He smacked his head twice on the roof, which made me laugh ... He actually took some skin off... Which I then guess was not too funny ... But I still giggled....

I had a feeling something wasn't right with your motor moving around like that on the dyno. You may have just unleashed another half a kw tooaza013 wrote:Yep I could

It is just the stiffness of the G4's .... I really should look at getting the spring rate re-done ...
But it has been about 12 months + of not really checking the suspension ... Apart from the height of the coilovers..
I just had to add it ......

Ok I said I would post up pics of the engine mount bolt and hear they are.
As you can see by the pics there was not a lot holding on in the engine mount
