Well yesterdayafter being at the track most of the day I came home and started work on:-
replacing my kill switch on the battery +lead and put in my oil catch tank.
There was a lot of stuffing around moving things making new brakets but at 23:00 finally done.
Today I will be adding a fuse to the battry + line (should of done months ago lol) just need to find a good spot to mount it in the boot.

I will add pics soon.

Edit: oh and put in the new dry cell 1000CA battery :D

Friday fixed non retracting mirror using the diy guide on here, and its amazing
Saturday fixed the drivers side window rattle, using the cheeky guide of bending the metal not getting new plastic part - also fitted new stereo.
Today and starting my project of making a custom air box and then may think of changing the original CAI on the front of the car

Mint 8)

I've cleaned the Wakefield dust outta my car & bled the brakes, taken off the rear trailing arms, found the bushes I need for them in my FTO-pile-o-sh*t & started pulling front pads out.

okay... so i personally didn't do this work to my car, but it WAS done...

Had a snorkel put on the triton. Cost me $750 all up, but it was worth paying the guys to put it on (i simply couldn't bring myself to drill holes in my car to attach it). the thing gives me so much more performance its actually quite funny. joys of epic cold air intakes =P

also, when the engine is idling, the sound from the snorkel sounds like a rumbling V8, and when you touch the accelerator it just gets louder. once the turbo kicks in it starts to hiss and wail, but its just an amazing echoing sound!

I vaccuumed and armor-alled the sh*t out of my interior, looks good again. Might have a go with the plastic-x on some of the panels, kick panels bit scratched.

Hmm .. I would pull it off, and check to see how the sealed the wholes... Most places will just tap the screws straight into the body .. Which, will then cause rust, as they just have the exposed metal ... If you are going to keep the car long term, and actually do 4wd'ing .. I would really recommend checking, then putting some paint over the metal, and then re-screwing it in...

OK .. Here is what I did ..

Changed over one of the senders on the air conditioning.. The one that controlls the temp .. So, could get to one screw from the passenger footwell... The rest had to be taken out through the stereo .. Was a bit of a fiddle but was pretty quick..

While I was there, thought I would replace the centre console .. Stereo surround, and then the part it directly bolts into that touches the floor...

What a pain .. Had to pull out the entire centre console, then pull off all the brackets which are bolted on to it from behind.. and some of those bastards were tight .. Then trying to get it all back together... Grrrr... But all got done...

Only thing is, how the hell do you take out the actual ciggy lighter.. I got no idea .. Tried to get it out but no success.. And now, when the stereo is playing there is static .. So going to have to pull her all apart again tomorrow...

Thats a fkn toe jam of a job hey! I first did that & looked at it & though... peice of piss. But some hours & super tight screws later, I finally finished it!

exactly what I thought.. Was doing the manual conversion to the Silvia during the day... Got up to putting the bearing into the gear box and realised we were given the S14 clutch kit... The bearing doesn't fit...

So came home and did the above to the FTO as I was in car tinkering mode and pissed off I couldn't finish the Silvia.. Finished up @ 2am and headed to the city to pick up the Mrs... Only to discover the stereo problem... Grrrr...

Last week, did a facelift conversion + xenons for the missus car. Today, I finished the version R suspension upgrade. All running gear and driveshafts replaced. Also pulled out both front seats and repaired the foam underneath the covers. Feeling a little sore now. Suspension was a mammoth job. Glad its done.
